Dossier

Dossier is a rules based information gathering system. Dossier's connectivity with various information sources allows the collection of a comprehensive folder of information on an individual or entity, hence the name "Dossier".

It can be integrated into various systems to automate the Data Collection process in accordance with certain pre-configured business rules.
A number of different data sources are available through one point utilising Octagon's SPOC (Secure Point of Contact). The system is easily configured to fit your business requirements, not the other way around.

Dossier in conjunction with SPOC offers you, the client, a one stop solution to all your data gathering requirements. All the components are custom-developed to create a seamless solution for you.

External Data Source Engine
Dossier has seamless integration to all the credit bureaus, all the deeds offices, online bank code requests, online cheque verification and online address verification. Dossier enables you to switch to any or all credit bureaus based on your set of rules. If the client is not on one credit bureau, switch to the other, if the bureau is not available switch to the other, go to both bureaus (as I need all the i) are some of the selections that you can make. Intelligence can also drive this process; only go to a deeds office if the applicant claims to be an owner of the property. All external data is returned and stored on your system for a comprehensive audit trail of what enquiries you did and what information you received.

Application Processing
Every application type is assigned to a business process of your choice. The data required will differ based on a number of criteria such as legal entity type, amount of the transaction and the type of transaction. For instance when dealing with a Close Corporation Consumer reports may be required from the two Consumer Bureaus or Dossier may be instructed to halt if it finds information at the primary bureaus. Various tasks in the collection process can be automated but user feedback: can also be accommodated where required.

Workflow Engine
Dossier allows you to change the workflow of any product type, or create new workflow for a new or changed business process. The workflow engine does not only empower you by providing flexibility that can be easily changed, but leaves you with control of your data collection strategy. The workflow engine enables you to select data that must be mandatory, what data must be collected in what order (for instance if information is required from the deeds office, the order in which they are searched can be ranked and prioritised.

Integration
Dossier can be integrated to your existing front end, whether it be a CRM system or a stand alone Application Capture system. Dossier can also be integrated to your workflow system as a step in the process or as a standalone module. Dossier can provide the data that it collates in numerous forms such as PDF documents, flat files, fixed length strings and others to facilitate easy use of the data by your Decisioning Software or credit staff.

Image Processing
All reports collected by the system can be rendered into a PDF format and e-mailed to the user for attachment to an application.

Licensing
Dossier has several options when it comes to licensing, so that you will be able to select the one that best suits you. There is an ASP option, a transactional model as well as an outright purchase option. Maintenance contracts can be entered into with Octagon with the option to receive enhancements to the product as they occur.

Connectivity
Dossier requires connectivity to the Data Providers in order to accomplish its functionality. This is achieved through connecting to Octagon's SPOC (Secure Point of Contact) Gateway. SPOC is connected to all the Bureaus and all nine Deeds Offices. Additional data sources are added when available. SPOC also caters for redundancy to the various Data Providers.

Security Management
Although Dossier is extremely flexible it does not do so at the expense of security. You can create various user groups with different security levels and add operators to any group or groups that you like. At the same time tasks are assigned to groups for execution and these tasks can then only be performed by users assigned to these groups. Business rules can therefore only be changed by the authorised individuals.
